Vancouver Pressed Flower Art Workshop | Create your own botanical artwork!

Join Lauren, founder of Claxton Grove, on Sunday, July 19 for a botanical art workshop where you'll create your own one-of-a-kind pressed flower artwork.

Designed for beginners and seasoned creatives alike, this 75-minute workshop offers a pause from the busyness of everyday life and a chance to create with intention while transforming delicate flowers into lasting works of art.

Lauren will share ideas for using pressed flowers, from meaningful gifts and home décor to preserving special memories. She'll guide you through botanical design fundamentals including composition considerations and the best materials to help you achieve lasting results. 

After a short demonstration, you'll have plenty of time to experiment, and create. Choose from a beautiful selection of professionally pressed flowers and botanicals to design 2–3 small botanical art pieces to take home.

No experience or artistic ability is required. Whether you're looking for a new creative outlet, a relaxing afternoon, or simply a way to celebrate nature, you'll leave with inspiration, practical techniques, and artwork that's uniquely your own.

Details:

Date: the workshop will take place on Sunday, July 19, 2026

Location: 1420 Old Bridge Street, Granville Island, Vancouver BC. 

Time: There are 3 time slots available: starting at 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm. Please select the time that works best for you when checking out. 

Duration: The workshop is 75 minutes long with an extra 15 minutes to finish and wrap up your work to take home. 

Each participant will receive the following:
🌼 A selection of pressed flowers to create your pieces 
🌼 A short handout with tips and techniques
🌼 A selection of 2-3 "art blanks" for you to create your own work to take home!

• This workshop is only available for those 17yrs+ 
• This venue is wheelchair accessible. However, the bathroom is not. There are public wheelchair accessible bathrooms available elsewhere on Granville Island - if you have any questions or concerns about accessibility, please feel free to reach out.
